“Vidya Bharati Academy of Nursing Research and Sciences” beliefs that

Mission:
The Mission of Vidya Bharati Academy of Nursing Research and Sciences is to provide accessible, affordable, high quality education to diverse students for the development of Nurse Practitioners at all entries of practice.
The mission will be accomplished through:
- Innovative programs that reflect the needs and current trends in health care of individual, family, communities and the wider geographical regions.
- Provision of the state of the Art Health Care and serves as a resource for the surrounding and global communities.
- Research that advances the scientific and theoretical foundations of nursing.
Vision:
To prepare Nurses who will work in Hospitals and Community with dedication, devotion , compassion and kindness
- To develop a Centre for Excellence in Nursing which will provide quality educational programs which are evidence based and encourage innovations to improve patient care.
- Every student nurse who passes out from this institute will be an epitome of nursing with adequate Scientific Knowledge and will be able to work at primary, secondary and tertiary levels of care within the country and abroad.
- Develop a research cell where the ongoing researches will help to improve patient care and nursing education.
Florence Nightingale (FOUNDER OF MODERN NURSING (12th May 1820 – 13th Aug 1910, The Lady with the Lamp “Glow of hope.” ). Pledge of Florence Nightingale to be taken as an Oath after entering the course:
I solemnly pledge myself before God and in the presence of this assembly, to pass my life in purity and to practice my profession faithfully. I will abstain from whatever is deleterious and mischievous, and will not take or knowingly administer any harmful drug. I will do all in my power to maintain and elevate the standard of my profession, and will hold in confidence all personal matters committed to my keeping and all family affairs coming to my knowledge in the practice of my calling. With loyalty will I endeavor to aid the physician in his work, and devote myself to the welfare of those committed to my care.
Aims & Objectives of the GNM course:
- To prepare a nurse who will function as a member of the health team for first level position in all kinds of health settings.
- To help nurses develop the ability to co-operate and co-ordinate with other members of the health team in the promotion, restoration of health and rehabilitation.
- To recognize, appreciate and empathize with the physical, mental, social, economic and emotional traits and needs of a patient and his/her family, and cooperating with them in molding them in the right way in accordance with the basic principles of nursing.
- To serve as the base for further professional education and specialization in nursing.
- To maintain the habit of strict punctuality in all activities and obligations.
- To facilitate the spiritual and professional growth of nurses, so that they can contribute optimally to the society as its useful citizens.
